Nancey Legg
CEO:
Better Kombucha
O
In 2015 Nancey Legg introduced Better Kombucha to the local community at a small, weekly farmer’s market. Folks showed up thirsty and began recommending it to their favorite gathering places. Based on this initial response, Nancey realized that making the beverage could be more than a hobby. So, armed with a master’s degree in Public Health and acquiring the basics of business, she decided that her commitment to wellness and her community created a great opportunity to pursue this fulltime.
As Birmingham’s first commercial kombucha brewery, Better Kombucha believes that an integral part of being better physically, mentally, and spiritually is related to what we put into our bodies, and that taking better care of ourselves makes us better people and better people make better community.
Together we are Better.

Abbey Frazier
Professional Recruiter
Abbey Frazier was born and raised in Starkville, MS. A passionate people-person, she pursued a degree in Educational Psychology from Miss. State, but before graduating, felt the Lord telling her not to pursue a Masters. After marrying and living a short stint in Dallas TX as a nanny to kick start her husband’s career, they relocated to Birmingham, AL per the Lord’s instruction. As she desperately sought the Lord for a career path, the Holy Spirit instructed her to pursue Life Coaching, so she became a Certified Christian Life Coach. Unaware of how her skills from life coaching would be used, she accepted her first “real job” out of college as a Recruiter for a local Bham staffing firm. After working her way up to become an Account Manager within Express Employment’s Office Services division in the Birmingham South location, she was recently promoted to Professional Recruiter (with a focus in Accounting and HR staffing). While balancing a full time role on part time hours, she also is the mother to one two year old, Judah, whom she lovingly spends her afternoons with. She is passionate about matching qualified talent to her clients’ attractive openings, and empowering women around her to live a balanced life—work, family, church, and all else with ease and peace. With nearly 5 years in the staffing industry, Abbey has branded herself as the face of Professional Staffing in Shelby County, and is heavily involved in the Shelby County Chamber, as well as the local community. She serves her home church family of Life of Faith in Irondale as both Elementary Coordinator within Faith Kids alongside her husband J.T., and the worship team. She tells all of her applicants that she runs her recruiting desk like a ministry—it doesn’t matter who gets them a job, whether she or someone else, but instead she focuses on ensuring they leave loved, edified, and encouraged (and hopefully, employed!)
